1. Regular vacuuming.
Invest in a good vacuum cleaner and suck out dust from the bottom of the carpet, especially if you have a fluffy carpet or a kitten puppy.
? Dust it several times a week. If you have a pet, you may need to take it every day.
? Don't rush through the vacuuming process. Even high-powered vacuum cleaners need time to suck up dust, dirt and hair at the bottom of the carpet fiber. Keep the vacuum cleaner on the carpet more than once to ensure a thorough clean.
2. Protect the retread area of carpets.
If your carpet is extended to the front door, kitchen, or other area where the area is often passed, consider using a small carpet or plastic protection pad to protect these areas. That way you won't need to use a vacuum cleaner every day to clear away chunks of dirt and grass roots.
? The plastic carpet protection mat has the added benefit of allowing the carpet to be seen through clear plastic. This is an unobtrusive way to protect your carpet from dust.
? Aisle carpets are used in corridors because more people are walking along the corridor.
3. Clean up spills immediately.
Letting the stain sink to your carpet and drying it will make it harder to clean. If you deal with it immediately after an accident, you'll save a lot of time.
? Use a clean cloth or paper towel to absorb the overflow and pour the baking powder into the dirty area for 15 minutes. When the overflow is completely dry, clean with a vacuum cleaner.
? If the spill is a wine or other colored liquid, add a little soda to the baking powder.
4. Learn the correct way to remove old stains.
Sometimes it is impossible to remove stains immediately. If you're dealing with an old wine or coffee stain, don't panic; Many carpets are pretreated with anti-stain chemicals, so stains are usually not difficult to remove. Spray the dirty area with a spray bottle full of vinegar, then wipe it with cloth. For deeper stains, soak the stain with vinegar or carpet cleaner and sprinkle with baking powder. When the baking powder is dry, use a vacuum cleaner.
? Don't try to wash the stain out of the carpet. Washing can damage the fibers, making the stain area look even worse.
? Do not soak contaminated areas with too much vinegar, water or other liquids. If it is too deep into the carpet to dry, it can lead to mold growth.
? Use a mix of lemon and salt to effectively clean a lighter carpet. Focus on the areas where you need to be careful to ensure that your carpet is not stained in different colors.
